The bank 2 rail pressure sensor measures the pressure in a second, separate high-pressure rail on V engines that have one rail with its own sensor per bank. Many V engines connect both rails and use only one sensor (P0190–P0194); the only documented user of the bank 2 codes is GM's 5.5 litre LT6 (Corvette Z06 2023–2024) with a digital sensor per rail. P01BE is the general circuit fault of the bank 2 sensor, the counterpart of P0190. No manufacturer document using exactly this code was found; the logic follows the bank 1 sensor and CARB's circuit monitoring requirement. On a fault the module uses a substitute value and usually limits power.
Medium severity. Can I keep driving?Avoid long trips and hard acceleration. If you smell fuel or the car stalls, do not continue.
Bank 2 is the side without cylinder 1, so it only exists on V or boxer engines.
Symptoms
- Check engine light on
- Limp mode or 'Reduced Engine Power'
- Rough running
Most likely causes
- Connector or harness of the bank 2 sensor corroded or wet
- Bank 2 rail pressure sensor faulty
- 5 V reference or ground disturbed
- Control module
What to check, in order
Start with the simplest. You can tick off each step.
Good to know
- Repair difficulty: medium
- It can trigger limp mode.
- It affects emissions.
What each character of P01BE means
- P: Powertrain: engine and transmission
- 0: Generic code: same on every make
- 1: Air and fuel
- BE: Specific fault in that system
