P083F: Clutch Pedal Switch A/B Correlation

Manual cars often carry two clutch pedal switches: one near the top of the pedal travel for cruise control and start-stop, one near the floor that releases the starter. Pressing the pedal must switch them in a sensible order; P083F means their states contradict each other. Stellantis documents it for the 2025 Jeep Wrangler manual: the engine does not crank and start-stop is blocked, caused by corroded contacts in the clutch interlock switch, which is replaced. Ford checks the same pair over more than 40 pedal applications but reports it as P0704, without MIL.
