P0AD5: Hybrid/EV Battery Pack Air Flow Valve A Control Circuit/Open

Some air-cooled battery packs route their cooling air through a motorized flap that switches between cabin air, recirculation or an outlet. P0AD5 means the battery controller finds the drive circuit of this valve A open or otherwise faulty. No manufacturer publicly documents P0AD5; the same component appears in Audi's Q5 hybrid (2012-15) bulletin, where the battery management module J841 works with the learned end stops of the air supply valve in the cooling module. CARB 1968.2 requires electrical monitoring of all battery thermal management outputs. Sibling codes are P0AD6 (range/performance), P0AD7 (low) and P0AD8 (high). The flap stays where it is, and the controller may cut electric operation.
