P2758: Torque Converter Clutch Pressure Control Solenoid Control Circuit Stuck On

P2758 is the opposite of P2757: the converter clutch stays engaged although the module has asked it to release. Ford detects it when slip remains below 20 rpm while the release command is active and input torque is above 60 Nm, and the fault has to show up in more than one gear. Ford's 2012 gasoline and 2023 diesel summaries flag P2758 as non-MIL: a locked converter can make the engine stall or the car shudder, but does not raise emissions or fuel use. Mitsubishi lists P2758 for the CVT of the 2022 Outlander as a one-trip code with MIL, so lamp behaviour depends on the maker. Typical symptoms are a stall when stopping, a jolt on engagement or rough idle in gear. A sticking valve or dirty fluid is the usual root.
