P0347: Camshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Bank 2

P0347 is the bank 2 counterpart of P0342: the signal of the intake camshaft sensor on the side without cylinder 1 stays at ground level without edges – signal wire shorted to ground, sensor supply missing or the sensor faulty. A code-specific manufacturer description exists only from GM: on the Saab 9-4X V6 (GM LAU) the signal must stay low without pulses for more than 1 s, or 10 s cumulatively, and the code follows after two trips. GM's other engines of 2014–2019 and Ford report such faults under P0345. Saab's 3.0 TiD diesel (2002) uses P0347 differently for a missing cam signal over 24 crank revolutions from 600 rpm. Result: cam timing on bank 2 switched off, loss of power, possibly longer cranking.

Bank 2 is the side without cylinder 1, so it only exists on V or boxer engines.
