Fault in the power feed of the hydraulic or electric oil pump: fuse, supply wire, connector or relay output. The module sees missing or implausible supply at the pump or its controller. No manufacturer documents this exact code publicly. Mercedes shows the checks that belong to it on the electric auxiliary oil pump of the 722.9 automatic, although it reports that pump under P0944: connector and fuse first, then supply voltage and CAN lines. Hyundai lists an open circuit of its DCT high-flow pump as P193D13. CARB requires circuit checks on outputs. P0945 to P0948 concern the control side, P094A the driver, P0562 general low system voltage. Without supply the pump stops and stop-start is usually blocked.
Medium severity. Can I keep driving? If the car is running normally, drive in moderation to a repair shop. If it loses power or another warning appears, do not continue.
Symptoms
- Warning light on
- Pump does not run
- Stop-start disabled or gearbox in limp mode
Most likely causes
- Blown pump fuse
- Open or corroded supply wire or connector
- Weak battery or poor main ground lowering pump supply voltage
What to check, in order
Start with the simplest. You can tick off each step.
Good to know
- Repair difficulty: medium
- It can trigger limp mode.
- It affects emissions.
What each character of P094E means
- P: Powertrain: engine and transmission
- 0: Generic code: same on every make
- 9: Transmission
- 4E: Specific fault in that system
