P0B3E: Hybrid/EV Battery Voltage Sense A Circuit High

P0B3E sets when cell voltage channel A reads above any value a healthy lithium-ion cell reaches, so the reading is treated as a sensing fault. GM sets it in the battery energy control module when cell voltage A is 4.8 V or more for 1.4 s within a 2 s window, Type A, one trip. FCA uses the code on the 2021 Jeep Wrangler 4xe as Voltage Sense 1 Circuit High and on the 2019 Ram 1500 eTorque as Voltage Sense A Circuit High; in both cases a battery pack control module update removes a false MIL. A truly overcharged cell sets separate cell voltage high codes such as P0DE7 instead. Low, range and open faults are P0B3D, P0B3C and P0B3B. The car limits battery use.
