Base code for shift solenoid L, which in SAE's lettering would be the twelfth on/off shift valve of an automatic transmission. No manufacturer documents this code publicly. It must not be confused with pressure control solenoid L, which Toyota uses on the 2024 Tacoma under its own code family. Ford's gasoline summary stops at shift solenoid E, Hyundai's Genesis 8-speed bulletin at F, and GM's 2016 to 2025 OBD tables show no L shift solenoid. For a maker using base codes, Ford's practice is the model: P0750 there means an open circuit. CARB requires shift solenoids to be monitored. The detailed fault types are P08DF to P08E6. Shift quality and gear availability may suffer.
Medium severity. Can I keep driving?Drive as little as possible and gently. If the transmission slips or stays in one gear, go slowly to a repair shop or call for a tow truck.
Symptoms
