P07EE: Transmission Range Multi-Function Select Circuit Range/Performance

'Transmission Range Multi-Function Select' is the multi-bit code of the shift-by-wire selector position: each position produces a fixed pattern of sensor states, and the module checks the pattern for logic errors. Mitsubishi's 2022 CVT with electric shift uses eight sensors (R: 1–2 on, N toward R: 1–5, home: all, N toward D: 4–8, D/M: 7–8). P07EE is the range and plausibility fault of the position code; Mitsubishi assigns it solely to the electric shift module itself – the pattern fits no position or contradicts itself. A generic scan tool shows the fault as P0914 'Gear Shift Position Circuit A'. Shifting is blocked, the drive goes to neutral and the MIL comes on; the usual repair is a software update or the module.
