P07EC: Transmission Range Multi-Function Select Circuit

'Transmission Range Multi-Function Select' is the multi-bit code of the shift-by-wire selector position: each position produces a fixed pattern of sensor states, and the module checks the pattern for logic errors. Mitsubishi's 2022 CVT with electric shift uses eight sensors (R: 1–2 on, N toward R: 1–5, home: all, N toward D: 4–8, D/M: 7–8). P07EC sets when a single bit does not change as the lever moves through its positions – it is stuck on or off. The other bits still identify the position, but the decision takes at least a second. Mitsubishi shows only the yellow electric-shift warning, without the MIL. Two or more stuck bits are P07ED.
