P07EF: Transmission Range Multi-Function Select Circuit Low

'Transmission Range Multi-Function Select' is the multi-bit code of the shift-by-wire selector position: each position produces a fixed pattern of sensor states, and the module checks the pattern for logic errors. Mitsubishi's 2022 CVT with electric shift uses eight sensors (R: 1–2 on, N toward R: 1–5, home: all, N toward D: 4–8, D/M: 7–8). P07EF is the low state of the whole pattern: all eight bits report off, which is no valid code – typically a disconnected selector plug or a missing common supply or ground. Mitsubishi detects it already at standstill after about 10 s with the ignition on, puts the drive in neutral and lights the MIL.
